Fitness ball goal

Today I was at a local gym (It was free day so they let the riff-raff, e.g me, in) and was bored out of my skull on the elliptical machine when a very fine young man stood up on his balance ball and did his arm exercises - with hand weights! :happy:

Stood on top of the ball! I now have a goal worth working out for. And no it is not to meet said young man, nor is it to spend more quality time on the elliptical, it is to get a strong enough core to stand on my exercise ball.

Anyone else up for the challenge? He told me it took him 3 solid weeks to learn just to stand there, and has been working on the hand weight routine for about a year. He said some famous golfer can swing her golf club up there. He also told me not to try to jump up on the ball. When he tried it, the ball went flying off and hit someone in the head! (plus he fell).

    I use my ball for doing sit-ups. I have a hard enough time SITTING on the ball without falling off.
