So gutted. Just been on holiday for a week and put on 6lbs. Before I went I was only 5 lbs off target and now I am 11lbs away. I have 4 days until my hen do weekend and just under 3 weeks until my wedding dress fitting.

Has anyone else put on this much in a week before and if so how ling did it take to lose it? How much could I lose in next 4 days. Will it come off quickly as went on quickly?

I'd be happy being a few pounds off target by dress fitting but not 11! Really wanted to lose 4lbs in next 4 days before hen.

I have done poorly the last few weeks (including this weekend) and have gained back 6-7 pounds. I was only 6 pounds from my LTG. Ugh! I hear you!

Some of that is probably just due to normal fluctuations in body composition (i.e. water weight). A pound of fat is the equivalent of about 3500 excess calories. So, unless you ate the amount of food required to maintain your weight (I'm guessing 14,000/week) plus an extra 21,000 calories to pack on 6 lbs, not all of this gain is fat. In order to pack on 6 lbs of fat in 1 week, I'm estimating you'd have to eat about 5,000 calories a day and not get any exercise. You'd almost have to make an intentional effort to accomplish this.

Maybe wait a few days and weigh again.

First I'd ask myself, "did I truly eat some 21000 extra calories above and beyond my daily requirements"? If you can answer yes, then you probably really did put 6lbs on. Either, way, just get out there and continue what you were doing. Personally, I had a terrible day yesterday. There was so much candy and sweets around the house, I helped myself. But today's a new day and I'm about to head out the door while it's still dark and do a nice long jog.

I showed that i gained 2.5lb last week.. So I drank 3 quarts of water and weighed myself the next day and it was all off again. Try lower carb in the evening, a little less sodium and A TON of water, and much of it should go down.
