Hello MFP family.
I have been training for a 25k since January. I found out last week that I have a second metatarsal break and soft tissue damage in my right foot. So I am in a walking boot until the race. The Doc (who specializes in runners) said that I can continue to cross train and granted my May 3 check up goes well I can still run the 25k in May. I am in need of cross training ideas. I do not like water nor do I know how to swim but that is what he said is the best for this injury. He also said that biking was ok. So...any ideas??

The friend that I train regularly with (for half & full marathons) ended up in a boot for a while due to an injury similar to yours. She did train some on her bike... but found that core & power pilates and yoga helped her a great deal!0
