I have been overweight my whole life, being in the military it's even stricter because I MUST conform to their regulations or I could get thrown out. With that I have always been right at the borderline. I am a stress eater and with the birth of my newborn twins everything I accomplished went out the window because I needed to focus on them. Now I am heavier (263) than I have ever been and I am finding hard to get started again....suggestions?

This website is the place to be. It's wonderful to keep you going. I made it my home page so when I start my computer it tells me not to forget to "do my job" of keeping track. Wishing you the best!

You can definitely do it. regardless of how far gone you think you are as long as you are making efforts towards a healthier you it doesn't mater how long it takes. You can do it! Think about your children and how you want to be able to interact with them and have more energy and be healthy for them. Take it one day at a time!

Take it one day at a time. Plan your meals a day ahead and your work outs. Start small or you might not finish - make a goal for today. Tomorrow make a new goal or the same one and finish. If you need to run a mile - run/walk and don't time yourself just finish. Once you can successfully do it with out stopping start timing. I find it easier with short term goals that I know I can accomplish that way I'm always winning! :) Good luck.

Know that you have a lot of supportive people that are here to help you! Try to always have the things you need to eat properly in your house. As an example I have found that I love eating: 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 cup spinach, and 1 oz. of diced ham scrambled every morning along with a greek yogurt. If it is i my fridge, I eat it. I prewash and cut all my favorite veggies to munch on and for salads, this is also a huge help. Stick with it, and congrats on the birth of your twins. :)
