Hi, I was wondering if there was an active thread for all of you c25k'ers out there. I started my c25k today w1 d1 4/25/11. If there isn't a thread then if you want to join me here, you are welcome. I will post my progress as I go, plus I will add my measurements to see how my body has changed training to become a runner (I expect to have a more toned body). You are welcome to post your progress as well.

Today was not as bad as I thought it would be. I actually was suprised at how I was ready to run longer than the 60 secs, but I didn't, I followed the program. I have an app on my phone that dings every time its time to change from running to walking or visa versa. I use my elliptical often, so I think thats why it didn't seem too hard. Although, I did find that running outside with an incline in some spots seemed more challenging, plus I sweat like no other in this 80 degree weather.

My starting measurements:
Weight: 107 lbs
Height: 5'1"
ABB: 26"
BBB: 31"
Hips: 33"
Butt: 37"

With my body type, I may gain weight, but I am here more for fitness and a healthy lifestyle than anything.

You can add me as a friend, too!

Hope to see some runners :)

Ironically I am starting that program today myself. I workout doing many different sports but I have always hated to just run. I am a big guy and it was never fun but I have lost some weight and need to get a challange going. I am very interested in having someone push me along the way and share success. I will also be using my iphone app to keep me on track.
    Good luck.
  • I actually jut finished the couch to rK last week. I will not lie, it took me 14 weeks to do it but I did it. I stayed in my calorie range and the couch to 5k was all I did for working out. For me I need to lose weight so I actually dropped 39 pounds doing it. Now I am maintaining this to make sure I can actually do my first 5K in June. Good luck to you, it is very rewarding to get done with week after week. And remember if you cant do one just keep trying... If you want to add me as a friend. Feel free and if you find a thread or anything out there for this let me know

Awesome! Yes, I'm not too thrilled about running either, but I hear its the best cardio and I am curious about this runner's high. Good luck! I will be doing M W and F training. The post just above yours is a great link to c25k group, I will check them out. You can friend me and we can inspire eachother here there or anywhere.
