I thought i was on the right track, until this weekend! It's almost like I need to be at work 7 days a week... when I am at home, I have self control! It makes me sick...

Weekends are really hard. For me, the problem is always not having a plan or not working out. Try to plan activities that keep you out of the house but still allow you to have control over your eating options. Picnics are always nice!0

tell me about it!! it's so much harder to resist food in your own home cause it's all right there at ur fingertips, whereas at work/school, it's not as readily available. i try to keep my kitchen free of junk food b/c if it's not there, it won't tempt me! simple yet soo effective0

Right there with you! It happens to me often on the weekends when there is no structure. I have learned in the past few years though that it is ok and if you have a weekend gain it is mostly sodium and will be back off in a day or two. Drink lots of water today and get back on your regular routine and you will be fine0

oh, I know what you mean! I even got a 30 minute workout in there too and still managed to do a bit of damage. (can anyone say delicious pizza dough?) LOL.... Don't worry---use this as motivation to get back on track. Worrying will only make you feel more guilty and less inclined to get back in there. Just do it! :-)0

Weekends are hard for me too. I try to stay as busy as possible on the weekends. I could never work from home.0 -
I agree--any place you spend time by yourself, or near food, is a bad place for self control!
Try to keep bad foods (chips, sodas, ice cream, cookies, etc., out of the house.
Grab a recipe book and learn how to cook those veggies dishes that are so good for you--and actually taste good, too!
Drink a large glass of water when you feel the urge to snack on the bad things. BUT, you are allowed to have small amounts of the bad stuff (limit it to 100 calories, or less, a day). And buy only tiny amounts of the bad stuff--one at a time.
Have fun! :drinker: (lots of water)0 -
thanks for all the encouragement!! Time for me to quit moping and get off my butt and do something about it!! I love this site, and really appreciate all of the awesome support you all give!! Thanks!0

You will be ok. We are here for you. I like to use weekends for food prep days. Cook your veggies or other healthy dishes and put them in the freezer or frig. to be ready for you through out the week. In addition, wash all your raw veggies and fruit ready to grab. It is better to grab fruit and you don't have to think about washing it then grabbing something unhealthy. I love grapes. They are always ready to go! Plan your meals on the weekends too. I do that on my days off. In the morning, at MFP I fill in all I am eating that day. No excuse that is whats on the menu. Good luck!0

Weekends are very hard for me too. Not sure why...I am home all day every day. I think it is the lack of structure for me. And with the holiday this past weekend I just decided that I would "take the weekend off" and not stress over it. I think I actually did pretty good and our family gathering. Seconds were for salads only and I had one helping of dessert. I even took a much smaller batch of the dessert I took so that I would not have a ton of leftovers to bring home.
Just get back on the program and you will be fine. Stressing over it will just do more damage.0
