I think I'm going to be eating alot of carbs today. Pasta for dinner and then noodles for lunch. Im working out so Im going to be within my calories today..but is that way to many carbs. I figure the carbs for lunch would be good for energy to burn at the gym. Is this okay for one day?

It all depends upon how insulin sensitive you are. Some people only need to worry about calories in/ calories out. Others need to worry about carbs in addition to their calories.

If it's just one day don't worry about it. Body's fluctuate so easy. I always try and have carbs for just dinner and keep them as low as I can for breakfast and lunch. You're fine though.

I'm a protein person and try to avoid having too many carbs in a day (I get loopy with too many carbs), but even with how I am, there are days that I have too much pasta and fruit, etc. I don't let it bother me. As long as I don't do it a lot, I'm fine. If I do it often, then I gain weight and notice how I function sub-optimally.

TLD: enjoy your day, and don't worry too much.

Like others have said, if it's one day I wouldn't worry about it much. That being said, see how you feel after all of that. I had been eating a TON of carbs until about 10 days ago. Most were coming from fruits, but we're talking about 250g/day. I've recently started dropping my carbs and adding more protein and have noticed a HUGE difference in how I look and how the weight is coming off. Just food for thought =)

It depends on your body. If I eat that many carbs, it throws me into a cycle of cravings (sugar, chips, crackers, bread, etc.). Just something to be mindful of.
