WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO RESPECT

My brother gave my son a tricycle for Christmas last year. My downstairs neighbor is watching like 7 kids all under 10. Those brats took it upon themselves to break his trike. Those little brats need some major but whippens plus their folks and their babysitter all need major butwhippens. How dare they.

That woman claims she is going to get him a new trike. yeah right. I doubt that.

I told those kids to stay away from his toys so then she pulls this stunt to me.

"If anything happens to those kids"! Look you dumb stupid inconsiderate idiot the only thing that will happen to those kids is because you let them alone in the yard in this dangerous neighborhood with your door closed and don't care dirt squat what they do. no I didn't say that to her but that's the way I feel.

What on earth happened to respect for other people's things?

That is why I believe we should be able to discipline our children without fear of getting in trouble. Because lord knows I would have given them a southern butt whoopin.....

    Maybe you should report her....:noway:

Is she licensed? Are they unrelated kids (unrelated to her)? In NC, there is a limit on the number of unrelated kids you can babysit without need for a state license. If these kids are running loose, seems like she isn't licensed. And if she isn't watching them.... :grumble:

Whew, glad I wasn't the only one taking the 'report her' path!

aw too bad about your son's tricycle!

That does seem like a lot of children to watch...I know I'd have a hard time keepin' an eye on them....but from what you said she's not really doing a lot of that anyway...which is sad!

    sorry for your troubles hon!
    hugs!

How did they get to the tricycle? If you live upstairs did they come up there and take it? I would report that to someone. Seems like something should be done. Things just aren't like they were when we were young. I'm sorry that happened to your little one. I would certainly keep you son inside for fear that they might hurt him since it was so easy for them to destroy the tricycle without a second thought. Hopefully they are only there for the day.

I'd say Department of Social Services or Child Protection Agency, but being a crummy caretaker isn't neglect. There are a lot of sorry parents/caregivers out there. Isn't that sad? I'm sorry your baby boy's trike was broken. I can understand sentimental AND real value in items. Wish everyone could.

So I assume she isn't getting paid so you can't report her to the complex because she isn't running a business out of her home..... Maybe you should call CPS I know I know I am an awful person but if it gets really bad...that might be your only option

we live in a small 2nd floor apartment theres no room up here to keep it. So we kept it in our fenced locked gate backyard. What gets me is he has been rough with that thing and didn't even crack it. So in order for it to be broke like that it would have to have been deliberate.

Not only do they have to be related here in NC they have to be blood related. It has to be Daughter Son Niece Nephew. In Illinois they even say how many children you can watch that are related (and not your own). I still say turn her in Leaving the kids in the yard with the door closed could be deemed dangerous.
  • Well, that really sucks that they broke his trike, but I don't think it warrents a call to CPS like some have suggested. I hope she comes through and gets him a new trike though. Some people's kids....
