I have never cooked with dill, but I absolutely love the flavor! I had a coworker that made a dill soup that was fantastic, and I always love when I can taste a bit of dill in the ranch dressing at some restaurants. I was wondering if anyone has some simple recipes with a nice dill flavor? Thanks!

I use dill on just about every fish dish I make.
I will also toss it with steamed carrots or Steamed green beans.
    Yummy!

I actually sprinkle it over my salads as i love the flavor as well. It goes really good with lots of steamed veggies and on potatoes really well too.

I use lots of the dried dill when making my tuna salad.

I also will "marinate" sliced ripe tomatoes with olive oil, dill, salt and cracked pepper for a while before I eat them.

    Love dill!

Oh I love dill too! It is so good! This is a good filling for pita.

    Ingredients
1 (19 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon dried dill weed
    salt and pepper to taste

    Directions
1.Drain and rinse chickpeas. Pour chickpeas into a medium size mixing bowl and mash with a fork. Mix in celery, onion, mayonnaise (to taste), lemon juice, dill, salt and pepper to taste.

Or this kabob recipe looks really good too although I haven't made it yet. The dipping sauce is made with dill.

    here's a salad dressing i make:

2/3 cup (or so) olive oil
    1/3 cup lemon juice
    1-2 tbsp low fat mayo
    1 green onion
    handful of fresh dill
    salt and pepper to taste

Blend it all together with a hand blender. Sometimes for more tang i change the ratio of olive oil to lemon juice to more like 50:50. It turns out bright green and is slightly creamy.
