.....................she is upset coz all her lovely clothes dont fit her anymore!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else think this is crazy?!

Told her that if she loses weight, she will feel better, then she can learn to sew, and take them all in!

Fitting into new clothes that you can buy in NORMAL shops is what its all about for me - couldnt care less if I'm leaving behind all my bigger clothes! lol

For me, all of my old clothes WERE NOT CUTE IN SIZE !!! Maybe it is just an excuse for her. You keep motivated and keep pushing. In the end you'll NEVER regret it.

tell her to find a seamstress to do adjustments, sometimes it is very economical

I am about to lose 3 of my favorite pants, they are comfy and they have lots of pockets (handy for a mom of 4) While I am sad, I am not letting that stop me by any means!

Don't let her stop your progress! Just because she's no comfortable with a new wardrobe, doesn't mean squat to you!
Keep going and find a new work out buddy!

Sounds like you need a new gym buddy, one more aligned with your goals. I'm sure this person is a good person deep down, but that's not someone I'd want to hang out with at my gym!

That made me laugh. Really? She's upset? Way to humble brag!

I love that my clothes don't fit right anymore. I do have cute clothes that are nice in my old size, but I'm putting them away or making adjustments to them. I was complaining (my own humble brag ) that my pants aren't flattering my butt b/c they don't fit snug on my hips anymore. Yeah, my ill fitting baggy clothes make me feel fabulous, who'da thunk it.

I believe her motivation was not based on HER! u should sit down with her and ask her Y she really wants to lose weight! this needs to be for her! :) maybe she's not seeing results! idk ask her !!! maybe u two can find out whts causing this!

Stay focused! i went through my closet and got rid of 2 bags of clothes! i was celebrating! told my husband time to buy some new clothes! i go to 2nd hand store cuz i dnt wanna waste money on new stuff cuz i will juss be donating it again in a couple of months! good luck !

That's too bad for your partner but don't give up! I think that I personally work better by myself. It gives me an excuse to spend an hour and a half to myself.

i agree with this! its what i plan on doing. i have a lot of things that i just got in february for my birthday, and coincidentally that's when i decided to start my MFP journey! I don't want to give up those clothes so soon, so i totally want to get them tailored, NOT give up :)
