new runner has a question

I recently started walking/jogging for a few weeks about 4 times a week. Now on my left knee on the inner corner has started hurting even when I walk. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or has anyone know what could be causing the pain? It really bothers me because I love running and the fact I can't right now bums me out. Anyone know how I can help it heal?

def. make sure you're wearing proper shoes that fit how your feet are shaped, like arch support. This can have an effect, and def. look at the sole of the shoe, if its not good the surface that your running on could be hard on your knees from the impact of your foot. Also make sure to stretch after running to keep everything limber. if you have a muscle that gets tight it can pull everything toward it causing other places to ache or get injured!

my doc said the best thing for injuries ...is to alternate between ice & heat..........ice for 15 min or so & then heat for 15 or so ......... it probably wouldn't hurt to use a knee brace as well, even when you are not running or walking.....also, advil is a really good anti inflammatory...........good luck!0

I've had this problem before. It could be how you are stepping. Try to focus on stepping flat on your feet, you could be twisting your foot a little which would cause the knee pain0

You Could be not stretching enough. Make sure you really stretch your before you run I get pain in my knees when I do not stretch well. It could be bad shoes too. I have this ointment called physical therapy I put it on when I have knee pain it totally helps smells gross but helps Good luck
