Looking for people who have reached their goal and are maintaining.
I am only 4 pounds away from what I thought would be my goal weight. However I am still unhappy with my body. Did many of you have to reevaluate and change your goals when you got close to where you wanted to be.
I think maybe I am also a little scared to stop losing weight-so worried to regain it.

I have reached my goal!! I am unhappy because i dont notice that much of a difference. I mean i do but i want to be fit and lean not just the right weight.

So i have reached my goal and my next goal is to just be more fit and tight in areas!

Been maintaining for a little over a year now. I didn't change my goal once reached, but I have played with the idea of losing another 5-10, only to get shot down by my Hubby lol. He likes where I am now, and doesn't think I should go lower just to prove a point!

    Congrats on your loss!
  • You can just try to gain muscle (you might gain a few pounds but you'll lose inches)

Hi it is interesting to know! I havnt really met my goal.
I was 96 kilos and i decided to get down to 80kilos.
I got to 80 kilos and i was like wow i want to get to 70 kilos.....i looked up and i need to be 67 kilos to be in the healthy BMI range for my hieght. I am nowhere near happy with my body and im sure once im down to 67 kilos i will push it down to 60 kilos. Itis hard to push your goal when you keep ending on a disheartened note!
I guess when im down to 67 Kilo i re-evaluate AGAIN!

My initial goal was 145 (currently between 146-147). I have adjusted my goal to be between 135-140. I think I was having the same worries as you as far as gaining once i reached my goal.

I've reached my original goal, but I had re-evaluated two months ago and pushed my goal 2 lbs lower for a safety cushion (so I can gain a little if I have an awful week). I have 1.5 lbs left to go.

I'm not completely happy with my body yet either. I feel like I still have remnants of my love handles and my thighs are still a little jiggly. But weight-wise I'm very pleased. So my plan is to eat for maintenance but keep up the exercise level and work on % fat and muscle toning. In practical terms, that means I'm going to be aiming to lose inches rather than pounds. I do believe that many of these body changes I haven't seen yet have little to do with what the scale tells me and just needs more time/work to develop.

I reached my original goal weight and was unhappy with the results, so changed it. Then once I had reached the new goal weight, I was still unhappy with my body, but knew it would be unhealthy to lose any more weight. So I have since started focusing more on body composition than actual body weight. I'm currently working on building muscle by lifting weights. And I know that may result in some weight gain, but am hoping that my body will look better with more muscle and weight than it does right now that I'm just skinny.

    Good luck to you.

I see so many people of different heights at similar weights and they all carry it so differently... I mean I see people who were around my height, at weights that I have already lost... and they didn't look as bad as I did carrying it. Why is that??

Everyone has a different body shape. It just depends on how your body is.
  • I am below my original goal weight, which was 140 (I was at 155). I am now between 130-135 and am 5'9". I am now working hard on building muscle, and not worrying about what the scale says. As long as my jeans still fit the same, I am happy. I was measuring myself, but found that I was getting obsessive, just like I did with my scale. It can get a little scary once you get to whatever goal weight you have set for yourself, it is a little addicting to watch the scale number go down. I think, sadly, that some people end up becoming unhealthy because of that....so keeping an open mind and healthy goal are key. I have set a 5lb weigh range that I want to stay in, because weight fluctuates so much, even over a day. Exercise is now my main goal. I have found something I love to do (yoga) and have kept up with it since November, which is huge for me...I usually get bored fast

I'm almost 40 lbs below my goal that I set for last November so that tells me that I didnt think it was possible to hit the weight that I'm at now. April 4th marked 1 year for my new lifestyle and I seem to be having a blah month...dont know why...but I think I'm gonna start a new program like Rev Abs and set a goal for a tighter core and more defined abs...Friend me if you want

I reached my goal in February.

It was tricky trying to get into the "maintenance mentality" at first though, and I kept losing unintentionally for a few weeks to the point where I looked a bit too small. I ended up having to UP my original goal weight to 115, so that I wouldn't accidentally slip up and lose any more weight.
