I have been a member of MFP for a while now, and I have lost nothing. I solely blame myself, I don't track like I should, I am in the terrible habit of grabbing small bites of whatever I can fidn when I get home from work ( this is the worst time for me, my husband is sleeping my son is napping and there is a fridge full of yum leftovers)
I am taking a stand and finally saying no more to this weight, I need this and I deserve this!
May first will be my day ( i now some of you will say why not start right now, I have a lot going on this week, a wedding that my whole family is in regersal dinners, bridal luncheons. I know I coulnd't stay true)
So I am annoucing that starting May 1st. I will track all my meals, all my snacks I will pick healthy options, I will exersice, I will be happy.
My DH has booked us an amazing vacations to DR in Ocotober to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, which is at the end of July, I want to look fantastic.
I can do this, I deserve to do this, I want to be the best me I can possibly be

When I get home from work is the worst f or me as well. I'm starving and in the middle of cooking dinner I tend to nibble.

Good luck and good for you for deciding to change things. I am gonna do what you thought people would do, though, and say you should start today. There will ALWAYS be obstacles, temptations, and challenges. Not just this week. Just saying! :)

Why not start now, even though you know it's going to be a tough week? It's going to get you in the habit and nobody will "fuss" at you b/c you're not really doing the program 100% until May 1st. It'll also start a momentum for you - you can do it!
  • I feel exactly as you do!! I have been with MFP since January, and id say in the 1st 3-4 weeks (when I was tracking my meals correctly and exercising at least twice a week) I lost over 5 lbs. So it was a slow and gradual weight lost, but it was working. And they say if you lose it fast, it comes back fast. So I was happy with it. However, by mid Feb I just got lazy with it. I wstarted giving myself one cheat day a week because I just missed all my favorite foods and was sick of depriving myself of them. Which, honestly I still think a cheat day here and there is okay...but I lost control of it, and one cheat day turned into maybe 2 a week, then 3, and so forth. Then I had to start planning my move. It was so stressful and combined with my long hours at work it just got impossible to eat right and exercise. But I just stepped on the scale at work, and I am horrified. So...I am starting over as well. We CAN do this. Its all about self control and knowing that NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY FEELS!! (Healthy skinny, of course :-)

    Good Luck to you!!
