Saw this in a newsletter I get. This is based on a 200 calorie candy bar and some have more than that!!

DID YOU KNOW THAT HAVING ONE CHOCOLATE CANDY BAR A DAY ADDS 73,000 EXTRA CALORIES TO YOUR DIET IN A YEAR? THIS CAN ADD UP TO A WEIGHT GAIN OF 21 POUNDS IN A YEAR.

damn. just did the math. thats about spot on.

but its not just candy bars. 200 cals over your daily needs is what does it. 200 cals of fruit would do the same.

Actually not, a trainer at my gym was explaining to me that it is much harder to burn unhealthy calories than healthy ones...the fruit will burn off naturally through everyday activities but the candy bar would take running up a down a football field about 10 times!!!

did you know that if i don't have at least one piece of chocolate per day someone will get hurt? and that ultimately adds up to more in medical bills, personal liability, increased financial risk, uninsurability and potential intstitutionalization.

i'd rather have a piece of chocolate and take the stairs. :)

Ha! Love it! And agree! But it's a piece of chocolate, not a whole bar! I buy good dark chocolate bars and one square (rarely 2) is enough, and I wouldn't even want convenience store candy bar, I bought a snickers a while back and thought it was gross, threw 1/2 away! Couldn't believe I used to eat them!

LOL! Wish you could buy the dark Dove chocolates in single servings. Can't have the whole bag lying around!

But if you allow for a bar in your daily calorie intake it doesn't matter does it?

No, it was just an interesting thing I read. More for fun than anything. It just shows how we can pack on the pounds so fast.
