So this week, I started getting up at 5:45am in order to work out before the rest of my day begins. I figured, my husband leaves the house at 5:45, and my son and his dog are still asleep. EXCEPT, that for the past two mornings, both my son and dog have gotten up the moment I hit the floor. This morning, I let the dog out to do her business, and she chased the cat right under the fence and across the street...which meant I had to go out and fetch her. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Anyone else feel like the harder they try, the rowdier their 3 ring circus becomes?:grumble: :noway: :grumble: :noway:

Yes, been there with my two kids and one dog.
:grumble: Not sure how old your kiddo is, but will he take naps? Watch TV? Play independently? Try to squeeze your workout in somehow - you will be glad you did!

Cat vs. Dog is some great cardio though ;-).
Keep your chin up hot mama! There is no failure in trying to lure the fam into your dubious healthy plot ;-). Good luck!0 -
Oh, been there, done that!
My husband and I had to finally set an alarm (started a few months ago) for our kiddos (6, 5 and 3.5 now), and told them they had to stay in bed till they hear the radio turn on. We have it set for 6:30, otherwise they wind up getting up at all random hours of the morning, as long as they see a light on. Has worked pretty well for us, now I can get up at 4:45, he's up about 5:20 and we're all done with our exercise, showers and the like before the kids get up.
As for the dog, can you fasten a cable to a tree/post and fasten your dog to it while you exercise so you can be uninterrupted? Good luck with that, but have no fear, you aren't alone!!!

Thanks. I like the alarm clock idea. As for the dog...she is a very stubborn jack russell terrior..love her but she is a pain! I'm going to talk with KJ today, he's 5 and should understand that he has to stay in bed til I say he can get up! Besides he'll be grump now way before bedtime!0
