I was looking for a better alternative to rice and a friend recommended millet. Does anyonr use this? Is it a good swap for rice? I like to eat rice with soups and stews.

I love millet! It's a very versatile grain so you can use it in a million different ways. I've used it in various preparations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's also so easy to cook, which I really like. I would definitely give it a try with a range of things and see what you think.
If you like millet, I'd also recommend buckwheat, quinoa, or amaranth. I use all of these in a rotation and have replaced a lot of the rice and pasta I used to eat.0
