Treadmill timing questions

Hello
When is the best time to hit the treadmill. In the morning before work? Or after work, when i actually have time? Or does it even matter?

Also
Since i work all day, I like to use my treadmill when i come home, before having dinner. The last two days i've come home with around 500 calories still to eat between dinner and snacks. I burn 450 calories on the treadmill in half an hour. Each day that has taken my calories that i need to eat back up close to a thousand. With only 4 hours to go until bed time after treadmill walk, is it wise to try and woof down a thousand calories?

Any guidance here would be appreciated.
Thank you

I have exactly the same problem as I exercise after work usually and am left with at least a 1000 calorie deficit. The best way I've found of dealing with it is to eat smaller meals more consistently during the day meaning that I've reached my calorie goal before I hit the gym, then do my workout and make up any lost calories with dinner. Seems to be working although I do have to watch that I don't undereat and if I suspect I am I'll have a (relatively) high calorie day in order to keep my metabolism ticking over.

It doesn't matter what time you exercise and I don't think it really matters if you eat a lot at night. I usually eat between 1000 to 1500 calories in the evening and continue to lose weight.
