Hello everyone!
I'm 25 years old, 5'5 and I think around 135 lbs, but I'll have an exact measurement tomorrow when I get a new scale. The one I have right now is a little wacky. Anyway, what prompted me to join is my upcoming trip to Vegas at the end of July.
My whole issue is the flank area (love handles). These have been an issue for me since I was a young girl. I have a flat stomach, small thighs and legs, but those flanks are enormous. They throw my whole shape off kilter. I can't even wear bathing suit bottoms that don't have ties on the side because my hips are just too large and they give me overhang. The string bottoms don't even work because they need to be big enough to accommodate my hips, but then are too large in the rear area. I just can never win. I look like I weigh a lot more than I actually do because of them, and I am having major body image issues with them.
I also have an additional problem because I can't work out. I have an ongoing injury with my leg that has been preventing me from getting any exercise. I am seeing another specialist in two weeks, but I feel like no matter how much I diet, this weight isn't going to come off without some sort of exercise. I try to hop on the stationary bike for 30 minutes every now and then, but my leg will be killing me by the time I'm done.
My question is, since I gain all my weight in my flanks, will that be the first area to go when I lose? i don't gain weight in my stomach, thighs, arms, legs, butt, etc, ...just my flanks. I know people say that area is the hardest to get rid of and one of the last to go, but it's making me wonder since it's pretty much my only problem area.
I'm looking to get down to 125, and hopefully getting the majority of it off by Vegas time
