My Grandmother's Italian dressing is pretty good. It's just extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, some water salt and pepper to taste.0

"mmm sauce"

1/4 c. canola oil (or oil of your choice)
1/4 c. almonds
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/4 c. nutritional yeast
2 1/2 T. lemon juice
1 t. minced garlic
1/4 t. salt
3/4 t. curry powder
1/2 t. dried oregano
1/2 t. dried cilantro
Instructions
Note: this recipe could easily be doubled and leftovers will keep covered in the fridge for 7-10 days
In a high speed blender or food processor, combine oil, almonds, water and chickpeas. Blend until relatively smooth.
Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Transfer to a small bowl and refrigerate until serving.0 -

Same here. I take 1-2 tbsp of a low fat, low cal dressing and add a tbsp of white balsamic, a little dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice, and a little agave, black pepper, basil, and/or whatever else is around.0 -
oh yeah! glad you asked!
mix together in a cup....
olive oil
balsamic vinegar
crushed garlic from jar is easiest
dijon mustard
salt
pepper
whisk with fork ....pour over salad (simple and natural - no weird stuff)
** all ingredients are to taste!0 -

This recipe is also very easy to alter to make smaller or larger quantities since everything is the same amount. But I usually make it in these measurements and it comes out to be about the same amount as buying a bottle of dressing in the store.0 -
thanks for all the suggestions! They sound great!0

Fat free natural yoghurt with some green pesto added and thinned down with a little water makes a delicious creamy, cooling dressing.0
