I am almost out of protein powder and not going to the store till Saturday...I always have a protein shake after my workout. I eat meat at dinner time (usually only time of day) so what do you guys recommend for an after workout meal that will take the place of my protein shake until Sat? TIA

Cottage cheese, cheese, milk. Dairy products would be the easiest and most accessible. Unfortunately they'll come with more fats than your shakes. But since you don't have access to anything else, it'll have to do. The reason protein shakes are so handy, is that they give you what you need, protein, without all the extra stuff that usually comes along with it, fats and carbs.0

What cacrat said.
Also, you might want to try a nonfat greek yogurt, those are high in protein. However, you can't really eat anything after a workout that has the same absorption rate as whey protein. Dairy products are mostly casein (slow absorbing).0
