I've been on MFP for around 2 months now. I've been trying to keep exercising, not always consistently though, and eating right, even though I haven't been logging it in my food diary. I've been frustrated that I've been bouncing back and forth with 5lbs lost and 5 lbs gained. I would offer up the excuse that I'm a full time grad student as well as teaching college level courses, but I know that is just an excuse. But yesterday I had to go to the doctor, and when they took my blood pressure I got a pleasant surprise. Back in my martial arts days when I was at my healthiest fighting weight, my BP was always 100 over 60. Last semester, in the height of my weight gain by BP had jumped to 120 over 90. Still not horrible, but really high for me. But yesterday, even though I haven't lost much weight, my BP was back down to 92 over 60! So something's working, even if the scale doesn't acknowledge it, and this has been one big jolt of remotivation. My last day of classes for this semester is tomorrow, and then I will have time to start the c25k that I have been eyeballing and get back into my kickboxing classes!
