I am looking forward to making split pea soup with the ham bone, but I have a LOT of left over meat.... Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you in advance

I'm making both of these this week -- may substitute low fat cheddar for the Swiss though (and RF crescent rolls)

Besides that, we are having lots of ham sandwiches...0 -
Chop some up and put in scrambled eggs.0

Freeze it is small packages so you don't have to eat it all now. You can take it out for a quick sandwich, add to an omelet or stir fry, top a pizza with it.0

Eat it every single meal, for a week. That's what I've been doing, LOL. I limit my meals to 3Oz of ham but my sodium levels have been through the roof! Even though I love ham, I can't wait until it is gone.0

Me too! My sodium is WAY up this week but luckily we only do a ham Easter and Christmas, this is a week for TONS of water!0 -
ooohhhh... great ideas! I was wondering what I was going to do with 9 lbs of leftover ham. I was hoping my Bunco group would eat more, but alas, I had to bring some home. :laugh:0

You can also use it to season your fresh veggies like cabbage, collards, string beans and the like...when cooking.0
