Work Push Ups?

Currently, I am doing the elliptical in th a.m and p90 or Insanity in the evenings. I wonder if I did an extra 25 (or more) push ups at the beginning of each hour at work if that would help or not help my goals.

For example, I could potentially do 25 push ups at 9, 10, 11, 12.... And increase later.

Does it matter that it would only be 25 each hour as oppossed to a whole bunch before work?

Is your goal to become the terminator? Or just confuse your coworkers? OH! I know, you want to rip your shirt off like the Hulk?

    hahahahhahahahaha,

Patience has never been a virtue of mine. I think I just want to speed up results. I actually, don't want to get bulky, but I would like definition.

trust me, I already confuse my co-workers on a daily basis!
  • If you are looking for 'definition' then sure, that will help. But doing 25 push-ups will barely burn any calories. Get a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) with a chest band and keep on doing the elliptical. Make sure you keep your heart rate at around 72-75% for about 30 minutes and you would have burned close to 500 calories, and a big chunk are fat calories.

I am walking on the treadmill between 2.8 and 3.2mph at 4-6% incline for 30 minutes and it burns just over 400. The trick is to keep your heart rate (HR) at around 72-75% constantly. I bought mine at Walmart, Sportline SX, for $48 and my wife's, New Balance N4 with chest strap, at Costco for $40. Input your sex, age, weight, and your goal of activity. I entered for fat burning, which is constant HR between 65% and 75%.

    Good luck!
