What is your "comfort blanket" so to speak with regards to your weight? What makes you feel more "safe" with yourself while being around people?

For me, and I just figured this out today like a lightbulb switching on, it's my sweatshirt. I always wear it, even in the summer. And when I don't have it, I may as well be walking around naked. I left it at a friends house last night and had to come to work without it and I'm TOTALLY uncomfortable! Can't wait for that to be over!

  • I love wearing my hoodies to. I always have one with me and if I don't I usually end up asking a friend for one. I feel uncomfortable without one. I find people are super judgemental and they are always looking at me.

Definitely my hoodies and fleece pullovers. Also- I have a special pair of shoes that make me feel comforted. I definitely feel naked and exposed without my wheelchair, but I think that might go without saying :p
  • Long and usually slightly baggy pants. I hate that it is getting hot again because I hate showing leg but long pants are almost unbearable in the deep south this time of year especially while working out outside. I'm trying to not let it get to me and go out anyway, but I'm super uncomfortable and try to avoid groups of people I see.

Me too!! Hate yoga, love the pants! As long as I can wear a big long teeshirt with them. LOL!
