Hello all,

I recently started here at MFP about a week ago. I have drastically altered what i eat on a regular basis. Stopped eating junk and am now focusing on healthier foods/ portion control. I have logged everything i ate and the correct amounts.

The problem/ concern i have is that this has all been too easy! I dont have a problem staying under my calories, im not starving through out the day, and i haven't been having any cravings for the unhealthy foods i used to love. I was wondering if someone could take a look at my diary and let me know if im on the right track or not. I'm just concerned that this lifestyle change has been too easy, which makes me think i'm doing it wrong lol.

Thanks!

The only comment I would make is the sodium content is high because of the processed meats you are consuming if that is of concern to you. You could think about preparing some lean meats and fish in the kitchen. As long as you have properly determined your daily calories targets, you are actually measuring your intake and not over estimating your exercise calories, you should be good to go!

    Keep up the good work

Hahaha... I love it. Your 'problem' isn't a problem! :D I think it's great that you've been able to easily slip into your new lifestyle. I took a quick peek at your diary and to be honest, it looks pretty good to me. Not sure if you switched up your meal names, but it looks like you don't eat dinner? Not sure how you manage that, but it doesn't actually matter, as long as you're not going hungry! :)

To be honest I was surprised at how easy it was to log everything, at first, too. Just keep it up! Believe me when I say there will be days that are ROUGH, but look back on this post and think to yourself, "well most of the time, this is really easy and doable for me."

    Good luck!

Actually it really is that simple...if you can keep your calories in check and exercise it will happen!
Big issue people have is before logging their calories and guessing what they intake daily, they are way off. happened to me. I thought I ate a certain amount everyday and was way over what I thought.

I would suggest making sure you eat at all of your mealtimes. It will keep your metabolism burning strong so your body always has fuel and learns to expect it - it burns a lot more calories that way!

Think of your metabolism as a fire. If you feed it a little bit all day it burns strong all day. Feed it too much and it smothers, feed it not enough and it goes out. Keep that fire burning!

I'm relatively new here too, just over a month and I think I have had the same PROBLEM!!
I love it and take it as a bonus.
Who knew that all those fad diets that were supposed to be so easy to do were actually harder than just doing things the RIGHT WAY....
Good job and good luck to you!!

    Thanks everyone.

and yes my meals are off because yesterday i put snacks in between each meal rather than just one category for all snacks. So i have been eating all my meals.

Now i just gotta work on getting more exercise!

I absolutely agree! On a normal day it seems very easy for me too. However, I've had days that are out of the ordinary where I haven't planned ahead or I'm in a funk (or both). If/when that happens, try not to get mad at yourself.

Great job! And good looking diary!
