Protein Shakes

I bought some protein shake mix and I make it with non fat milk and half of a banana.
On the label it says I can replace 2 meals with this shake and have another shake as a snack, meaning I would only be eating one *real* meal a day and maybe light snacking.
I'm currently having appetite problems (nothing sounds good and I'm only eating half of a meal a day). I think that eating shakes throughout the day would probably help me get balanced again, but I'm wondering how healthy it is to only eat one meal and protein shakes for the rest of them.

I don't think it's generally healthy to only eat one "real" meal per day. I use protein powder as a high protein snack personally. BUT, if you are trying to up your calorie intake and that's all that you can manage to eat, it's better than nothing in the short term. JMHO. :-)0
