Frustrated with weight training

Hi all!
I have always had success losing weight rather quickly with a lot of cardio and calorie counting. However, I always gain it back. I am back once again to hopefully make this attempt a long term success. The problem is I am getting very frustrated. I have basically been doing the "Body for Life" work out for about 4 weeks now. Here is a typical schedule Mon - 70 minutes of Abs, Tues - 40 minutes Cardio (Interval) Wed - 70 minutes of Legs Thurs - 40 Minutes of Cardio (Interval) and Friday 70 minutes of Arms. I have about 30 pounds I would like to lose, but so far have lost none. I understand that muscle weighs more than fat and I can see very small results when I look in the mirror, but when does the weight loss kick in? (I also drink about 5 20oz bottles of water a day and limit my soda intake. I keep reading that my metabolism will kick into high gear and I will start losing-- BUT when??? I am watching what I eat but not necessarily "counting" calories like previous attempts. I am basically just watching my choices and portion control, Has anyone been here before? I refuse to give up, but its getting really hard not to say screw it an dive into a chocolate cake.....please help.
Thanks so much! Melissa
