Hunger, weights and MFP

I really pushed myself on the weights yesterday and last Saturday. Last night I was really hungry and went over my calories for the first time since starting MFP 7 weeks ago. And, today again I've been much hungrier and have gone over a bit. I haven't been bingeing or anything foolish - just eating more protein mostly - 100 cal more yesterday, and 200 more today.
I think it's realistic for me to eat more when I'm lifting, but how much more? How do I calculate this? Is there a formula? I'm going to have a caliper and bioimpedance test done this Friday. Will knowing how much fat vs muscle I have help me calculate my calories? I was attempting to lose a few more pounds, but maybe I should just try to maintain and lose fat instead.
Any suggestions?
