Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred calories

I just got Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. I was wondering, how do you record it on MFP? How many calories do you typically burn?

  • To know your actual calorie burn, you need to invest in a good Heart Rate Monitor (w/ chest strap). Any number you get from MFP or elsewhere is just a guess. Your number of calories burned could be higher, lower, or the same as what the website suggests. I was using Circuit Training General for Insanity, and then got a HRM- wow!!! What a difference. Hope that helps.

    I'm on day 27 of the shred and I log my calories in as 20 or 25 minutes of circuit training. I think I burn more calories but I don't have one of those monitors yet. Good luck on your shredding! I believe it truly works if you stay committed to the 30 days. I've lost 11 lbs and 8 inches so far. I take new measurements on Saturday or Sunday. You can add me as a friend if you like.

    Until you get your HRM (You totally should) Log it under circuit training. Burned calories depends on how much you put into the workout. If you pushed hard maybe 200 cal

    I was thinking about investing in HRM but I'm almost done with my weight loss, so I don't really want to spend the money at this point.
