Has anyone ever tried taking the Chromium Picolinate? It was recommended to me by a friend. He said that it balances out the blood sugar along with cravings for sugars and carbs. I definitely need it for my sugar cravings! So I think I'm going to give this a shot. However, I would love some feedback from anyone that has used this supplement. If you guys have any other tips or tricks or advince on how to overcome sugar cravings, please share!!! Sugar is my biggest pitfall!!!

I take it everyday and I have to say -- I think it helps with my sugar cravings. I'm a sugar-a-holic and it helps to keep it somewhat under control.0

I'm not sure about the cravings part, but chromium picolonate is known to lower your blood sugar. The only problem is that it can also bottom out your sugar, so keep a kashi bar or something on hand in case you start dropping too low. My partner took this before she had to switch to insulin and it worked really well for her. I'm not sure if it affected sugar cravings.0

Awesome! Thanks so much for your feedback
From what I know, my blood sugar levels are fine. I just really need to figure out something that would help me with my sugar cravings. Sometimes they're not so bad, and I'll have something sweet now and then. But when they take over, I just binge. Which has been happening much more frequently and lasting a lot longer. This last one lasted me two weeks. Basically if I had a chance to eat something sweet, I'd take it. If nothing sweet was around, I'd go buy it. Then when I get over the craving after binging like crazy, I'm just left feeling yucky, crabby and with a massive headache. I realize will power plays a big part in it, and I'm working on it. But meanwhile I'm willing to try what I can to help me with this. I will give C.P. a whirl for a week or two and see if I feel any different.0 -
Your sugar cravings could be from not enough protein.......0

i've taken it for long stretches of time and haven't noticed any difference in cravings, hunger or anything, seems like a crock to me, either that or just a very very subtle thing that i didn't pick up on...0

It is really working for me. I read lots of articles saying that the chromium GTF is better than chromium picolinate so i choose the gtf and after 3 days i have to say that is really working and i have some huge problems controlling myself around sugarr, chocolate, cake ecc...
It's not expensive, give it a try0
