Hunger Issues

Since revisiting my quest for fitness roughly three weeks ago I've run into an unexpected problem - I find it difficult to eat and my appetite is often diminished. In my memories of healthier yesteryears I was often ravenously hungry after a workout, and that feeling has happened a couple of times in the past few weeks, but much more often I have had no hunger or actually felt bloated and acidic/heartburny. When I do eat, I feel full (even stuffed) much faster than I normally would.

Additionally, I read somewhere that you shouldn't eat too far before a workout because of burning off your fuel before you most need it, but even waiting 3+ hours from eating to working out I become queasy and feel acid bubbling up my throat, making me want to vomit. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or how much I have of it.

Granted, I have a significant share of gastrointestinal issues, but this is the first time I've experienced such a consistent, overwhelming lack of hunger and feeling as if I consumed nothing but tomato sauce and orange juice. I'd much rather experience the ravenous hunger, as I have the willpower to refrain but not to force myself to consume. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice?

Just may need a jump start. In the morning I grab a banana though I'm not hungry, then I move to cereal later. The banana seems to get things going. I've heard and believe that water gets the digestive track going as well.

Have you considered gluten + dairy free eating ? ... I know of many people with similar complaints whom are so much better off now. I have been on a ayuvedic detox for 3 weeks which is gluten and dairy free among other things and I feel fantastic I use to get bad indigestion and upset tummies, bloating and feeling of being overfull after eating but still hungry... I'm in week three and all of those things gave gone and I'm planning on staying gluten and dairy free ...

Do a little research it may be worth considering :)
