Two-a-days?

So I have been giong to the gym every morning (or five mornings a week) for 45 minutes. I am wanting to get a little extra burn in. Is adding a video at home or going for a run in the evening going to be too much for my body to handle? Or if I just increase my food intake will I be okay?

Only you can decide that! your body will tell you if it is too much0

No, that wont be too much.
Not at all.
Go for it!0 -
I say give it a try. You're body will let you know if it can handle it. Good luck!0

Your body will tell you whether you can handle it or not. Definitely up your calorie intake and try it.0

Definitely make sure you increase your calorie intake so your body is getting enough "fuel". You can fatigue your body by doing too much so be careful. Don't double up every day I would think and make sure to take some days off to recoup. Listen to what your body us telling you, (are you tired, feeling run down?) that is usually a good indication if it is too much.0

I agree with everyone else, just make sure you are eating enough and listen to your body.0

You can do it! I do it often, not necessarily every day but sometimes I even do 3 times a day but I never do more than 2 hrs total.0

I do two-a-day workouts approximately three days a week. I only do weight bearing exercises during one of the workouts on those days. For the most part, my second workout is just to get some extra cardio in. I consider most cardio "extra credit" for fat burn as long as you're safe about avoiding injuries.0

I love days when I can get 2 workouts in. I try to balance the type of workout though. On days I do a bodypump class in the am, I try to go for a run or so some cardio in the evening. Or I just grab my son and we go for a long walk. Your body can do more than you think it can. I do agree though, that you have to listen to it. If you are really tired or sore, go for a walk or don't work out in the evening. But definitely challenge yourself. Good luck!0

I agree with everyone else just make sure you have enough fuel in your body for the extra. Look at it this way..Children play throughout the day. Like when I was a kid even though that was eons ago... I might play in the morning after breakfast and then jump rope ride a bike run around the neighborhood play hide and seek etc. so all that is burning calories. Then I conked out at night and slept really hard. The first indication that it is too much when it comes to exercise is that you do not sleep well. Or at least that is the first indication for me. So eat enough to sustain the things you want to do and listen to your body. Have fun!0
