For weeks i have have so may up days and down days, some days i'm right with it some i cant be bothered at all.
I was walking home today in the beautiful sunshine and i had time to think.

My goals were:
I'll lose this weight so my partner will not be embarrassed by my weight (in my own head that is)
So i dont feel like a fat frump among the mothers that i'm friends with at the school (major prob for me)
So i can go shopping with friends and them not see the size i buy.
So i dont feel so self concious around other people etc etc
So my kids wont be embarrassed by their big momma

You know what i'm an IDIOT this all should be done for me, me, me and no-one else. I dont need peoples approval i need my approval. I need to feel good about myself for things to change and stop worrying about pleasing others.Once i've done this for myself and my confidence all those things listed will be resolved anyway.

YEP!!! And now that you realize that you are doing this for YOU, you need to start making YOU a priority. It's hard, I know, making yourself the priority when you have little ones. But it is so worth it! And we are all here cheering YOU on!! :drinker: :flowerforyou:

Touche & you know what if you haven't already you will also come across those that will actively discourage or sabotage your journey - so it must be for you & stick to your resolve. Good luck you have made a boundless step. :)

that is an NSV!!! To realize why you need to be on this journey is a truly great accomplishment. It isn't about the number on the scale or the size of your jeans, it is about being healthy and comfortable in your own skin. I feel so great when my skinny minny 14 year old tells me I look great. Even though I have about 40 more lbs to go, I know she sees my hard work and is hopefully learning that it is better to stay in shape, but you can also get back there if you try.

Good luck to you and keep up the great work!!

This is hard to do.....a lot of guilty feelings....so I just work out when the kids are in bed. Everyone eats what I make or make it yourself! I feel the same things you do.....don't want kids embarassed of me, want to look nice next to my hot hubby...etc! It is very difficult to put YOU 1st when taking care of other people but if you fall apart who will take care of them? We can do this!! This place has such amazing support...so chin up and do something for yourself!!

    Friend me if ya'd like!!

    Good for you!

I had a similar revelation the other day, when I felt like giving it up. I wasn't too impressed with my boyfriend at that moment, and I was really struggling to stay motivated - someone on here said "You're doing it for you" and when I read that, that's when I realised I wasn't.

Pretty dumb eh, to punish him by not wanting to carry on getting fit and losing weight.

So from now on I'm doing this for me, and I'm happy that you are too. :) EDITED TO SAY: That was a terrible sentence, I meant I'm happy you're doing it for you, not for me LOL :P
