12 Week Challenge

Well done guy's!!!!
Great focus and goals that is one of the main keys to this, if we fall down we HAVE to get up again! I was reading an article yesterday about a 12 week challenge and someone said "It's all about progress not perfection" that really made me stop and think......that is my problem, I strive for perfection all the time which is totally unrealistic, it's all the little things that add up to the big equation.....BUT we are all capable of change and that's what I intend to do!
It's great having the support here, it really helps me stay focused like I'm part of a team...:o)
Last night was really hard, I had such a crap day at work dealing with people and all I wanted to do was eat and drink!!!!! I stopped by the shops on the way home and bought a new pair of pants, and two shirts for work, thought to myself instead of falling into your old habits go and buy something nice to wear tomorrow to brighten your day, so I did and it worked! not sure if spending money to replace the others is good hahahahha
Goals today:
1. Weight training (done)
2. 3 litres of water
3. No alcohol
4. Cardio (after work)
5. Visualisation (I must remember this every night!)
6. NO STRESS
Have a great day and remember to just do your best, with a little extra...:o)

Morning
It is an absolutely beautiful morning here. I took my dog for a big walk along the beach at sunrise...what a way to start the day!
Sloane - I think buying yourself a treat instead of a food/drink is a great idea. If it becomes an expensive habit you could do what I'm doing and 'treat' yourself with health and fitness magzines (a bit cheaper than clothes). I am finding them really inspiring and enjoyable to read...and they can only help right?
I have always wanted to be a runner. I think people that run always seem so fit and lean. But I have never been able to run because I get runners tummy. It basically means I throw up every time I run. Not pleasant! I thought starting the C25K would gradually ease me into it and hopefully build up a bit of resistance. So far it hasn't worked. Yesterday I only did the first sprint and had to stop. I have decided to put a pause on the C25K and do some research into some natural remedies. In the meantime I am really enjoying bike riding.
Yesterday's Goals
1. 1200 calories (Yes!)
2. 2L of water (Yes!)
3. 18km bike ride (Yes!)
4. Fitball class (Yes. Very painful. I have no strength)
5. Healthy food choices (Yes)
Today's Goals
1. 1200 calories
2. 2.5L of water
3. 18km bike ride
4. Strength training (fitball/resistance)
5. Healthy food choices0 -

Well things are going well in week 3, I had read somewhere that week 3 was the hardest for some reason, I disagree, I think the first two were!
I didn't realise you could do your own blog on here, I wished I had known because I would have liked to have put my thoughts etc down from day 1, I'm going to start today though and start recording my last 9 weeks.
And yes I will be following your lead and buying some mags instead of clothes! plus I don't want to really buy anything else until I get to goal.
Goals today:
1. weight session (done)
2. 3 litres of water
3. No alcohol
4. 1200 calories
5. Visualisation (I've been doing this at night when I go to bed but keep falling asleep hahahaha)

Afternoon fellow challengers!!
Hope you have all gotten off to a great start this week...:o)
I have managed to stick to all my goals yesterday, it sounds weird but I am actually having trouble eating all my calories, this is NOT like me!!!!! 1200 was NEVER enough....amazing how the body and mind can change it's old habits when you put your mind to it! Have bought a new Protein powder the "BSN, Lean Dessert" it is delicious! I only have mine with water and it's usually powdery and gritty but this is like a milkshake....
Goals today:
1. 2 litres of water
2. No alcohol
3. stay within 1200
4. Weight session (done)
5. Visualisation
Keep up the great work!

Goodmorning
Well last few days have been pretty good. Have mostly stuck to my goals but have realised doing my bike ride and strength training in the same day is almost impossible (both timing and muscle wise). So I am going to alternate between them. Today is bike ride and I'm really looking forward to it. I am managing to do 20km in 40minutes (30kph) and am trying to build up to the full hour. Think it might take a while but that is my new major goal for the end of this challenge.
Sloane - I am also having trouble eating all my calories. Such a strange sensation but I guess healthy food is much more filling! I read all this stuff about starvation mode, so yesterday I tried really hard to eat 1200 cals but I felt so bloated by the end of the day. So I think I will just continue to eat as much as I can but not keep eating if I'm already full.
Today's Goals
1. 1200 calories
2. 2L water
3. healthy food choices
4. bike ride
5. relaxation time
Happy Wednesday!0 -
Good evening
Well life has been crazily busy for the last 3 days. Haven't even had time to log my foods or do any exercise except a quick walk for the dog. Have been eating fairly well I think but I'm actually missing the exercise which is quite strange for me ... I used to be exercise-phobic. Anyway considering my last 3 days have been no exercise and it's TTOM I'm quite happy with my loss. I have 9 days to get to 70kg - that is my first mini goal. Fingers crossed!
SW: 72.5
Week 1: 71.5
CW: 70.8
Total loss: 1.7kg
Here's to a great week!0
