Pretty good article hitting most of the points. One place that could lead to misunderstanding is the skipping meals part. In and of itself skipping meals will not hurt you as long as you eat all your calories and don't go over your calories for the day. In fact for the first 72 hours of not eating the effect on your metabolism is not negative at all, but positive. In fact short duration fasts have many physiological benefits that can help losing fat. The problem for some is psychological in that their mind is so ingrained to be in a fed mode that they feel after fasting even as little as 16 hours that they must over eat. Skipping meals in and of itself is not bad. It is a problem when you can't control what you eat later, but that is more a mind problem, not a true hunger problem.0
