I always gain a few pounds of water weight...
I didn't used to, but I was only having 4 a year (my repro system was ALL out of whack), now that my hormones are normal, and I'm ovulating by myself again *puffs out chest*, and I get them monthly like everyone else, I seem to gain more water weight.0 -
I definitely retain water and just feel heavier. I know the scale around that time will be a jerk, so I either don't weigh or I just keep it in mind that the reason I FEEL heavier and bloated is because I am at that point but it isn't a true reflection of my weight. SIGH! It stinks!0

I believe its different for everyone. I have a gain of 1-2 pounds but when I am done I go back to normal weight or a pound less because I am trying to lose one pound each week. I find the week before is my hardest week because I feel hungry and or want something sweet. The week of is hard when it comes to exercise because I feel so drained. I just push through both issues and hope in a month or two my body will become used to it.0

Thats the time, when my scale pointer goes up again.0

yeah i gain about a week before... up to 6 pounds but as soon as its done im right back where i started... i dont usually lose that week because of of all the yummy stuff i like to eat before aunt flo shows her ugly face

my weight on the scale will go up up up ..it can be anywhere from 5-7lbs over night, usually i can feel that i feel swolen or bloated so I don't weigh myself again until aunt flo packs her bags. (keep in mind when i say 5-7lbs, that is on someone who is 6'0"..so it might be different for someone of a smaller frame!)0

I'm always up 5lbs then but it leaves when the witch does!0

Same here, girls...bloat bloat bloat! :explode:0

No matter how much water I drink or how little sodium I have, I always seem to bloat from water weight when Auntie comes to town. :mad:0

Girl, I can gain up to 5 pounds during. I don't weigh myself 2 days before and 2 days after.
You will slowly go back to your "normal" weight after Aunt Flo is gone.

the warning makes it so enticing. LOL
I usually have a gain for the bloated-ness caused by water retentions. so, therefor my measurements are a little more than usual too. I just try to remind myself that it is that time of the month and it is expected.0 -
:noway: James....we will deal w/ your insubordination later ....{caresses the hose and leers at James}...but back to the question....um about 4 lbs is my norm and its usually a few days before till a few days after which makes in total I stay away from the scale about a good week and a half....:ohwell: even though I know what it is from...stooooooopid water weight....I still get down:frown:
hmmm what ever shall I do to cheer up....{remembers the hose and that I am now wearing my tomb raiders costume and have whips! }........Oh Ja-ames!..... ........:laugh:0 -

Well, I weighed in just to see EXACTLY what the old biddy does when she comes to visit me..
She packed 6 pounds of luggage with her...:noway:
Now I remember WHY I don't weigh in when she visits...:sad:0 -
My weight fluctuates all the time, regardless of the time of month. That's why I only weigh at the same time of day when I do get on the scale, it seems to help keep the numbers from fluctuating too wildly. (FWIW, I weigh the most late at night, the least early in the morning.)
I just try to avoid weighing more than once a week, and try to aim for, as my dad puts it 'fluctuations with a downward trend over time.'0 -
:noway: i er actually lost this week with that
