Hi all,

I started with MFP 2 1/2 weeks ago and am determined to lose all of my excess weight and there is allot of it! The older I get the harder it gets and now that I'm 60 I realize it's now or never, so here I am.

I do like this site and how easy it is to log and track calories both on the puter and on my itouch.

If anyone has any suggestions for exercises with two arthritic knees please let me know. I don't have access to a pool for water aerobics and right now am using a stationary bike since walking hurts too much. Hopefully as the pounds go down I'll be able to walk more.

Have you tried Palaties (not sure of the spelling) they have tapes that are especially for people with health issues. I got one when i was going through my cancer treatment and it really helped with range of motion.

    Hope it helps

I have OA in both my knees and hands. I had one knee replaced and am pending a second. I applaud you that you can peddle a bike. I can not do that.

I do use resistance bands. I can lay on my bed or couch and use them. I also LOVE my Stability Ball. There is a lot of good cardio you can get from the ball.

Good Luck!! Hot bath or shower before exercise would make it go better and less chance for injury to the knees.
