I've been researching the two all night and can not decide which workout program to get into next!

I am 5'2" and 120lbs, I'd like to loose a few pounds but am more interested in toning up. I have been doing Jillian Michaels DVDs for the past few months (30 day shred then six week six pack currently ripped in 30) with mixing some cardio/weight training at the gym. Her workouts aren't challenging me anymore and I'm looking to step it up! I have although I have toned up I have not gotten the results I'm striving for....

Suggestions?!

I haven't tried ChaLean, but I do have insanity and I like it, haven't done it in a while... only made it thru a week and a half because of busy schedules at christmas time... but I do need to start it again! I've heard good things about ChaLean... mainly Turbo Fire, and heard that Turbo Fire is a lot funner then Insanity...

if you're looking to tone, i suggest chalean. I LOVE IT. Also, insanity is more cardio. Chalean is weights (to build muscle)

I've tried P90X and it was pretty awesome! Not sure about the ChaLean but here are my thoughts. P90X kicked my *kitten*. I did it for a week was sore all week! I stopped because I'm training for a 5k, working full time, and going to school so the hour plus a day was too much. Right now I use his strength training videos or the 30 trouble zones from Jillian on the days that I don't run or mountain bike...

A couple of things I didn't like about p90x were the cardio workouts. Both the cardio and the kenpo were not enough for me. I haven't tried the plyometrics but I bet it's better. Also, he does A LOT with a pull up bar. I don't have one of those so it was hard to do an entire hour of that. :)

My last thought: If the ChaLean videos compare strength training wise I bet her cardio is WAY better than the P90X. Women just do that sort of stuff better!

You'll have to tell me what you end up buying!

Thanks guys for all the input!

So I think I am leaning towards insanity now. I feel like the workouts I have been doing have toned my muscles, but they are still hiddent by a layer of fat! hah So maybe boosting up the cardio may be a good thing

Good luck with p90x! I did that last year for awhile but I didn't have enough time a day to devote to it. I actually liked the cardio in p90x though! haha
