Happy Friday!!
I thought it would be nice to start a thread about this week's NSV's - what victory did you have this week that is helping to lead you to a healthier, happier tomorrow? Also, share your thoughts or how you came to that NSV - together we can inspire and encourage others to have these NSV's because eventually all the NSV's will eventually lead to (a) a SV and (b) a more positive attitude about ourselves and our personal journeys.
Me:
Wednesday: I bought a salad from a bistro downstairs instead of a pastry (which is what my tummy wanted).
This week: I made it my goal to bring lunch with me four days of five because I eat healthier lunches when I pack them myself, I can control portons, snacks etc. I made it - today is Friday and I have brought my lunch with me since Tuesday *pat on back*.
What about you?

Forgot to say how: Remembered to myself what my brother told me "eat for your abs not your tummy"0 -
I was able to walk up the hill to work this whole week without huffing and puffing. Very happy about that!!!0

I have been getting compliments all week from people. Male and female.
Last night - hubby told me I was looking good - he can tell I am getting smaller.
Today - male co-worker told me he could tell I was getting my 'curve' back. (At my heaviest - I had really filled out and was starting to have the straight up and down look.) Also - my jeans are getting too loose!!0 -
I fit comfortably in a Major League Baseball stadium seat! And a train seat before that!0
-
My jeans are starting to bunch up, my belt is too loose, and I've had to tighten my boots.0
-
I realized I have several cute dresses from last Spring that I'll have to sell online because they're too loose now! NSV for my waistline and my wallet!0

great job everyone!0 -
I tried on my "trigger pants" yesterday morning when I hit 250 on the scale. I try them on every 10 pounds. They're 36-waist pants, and I actually got them all the way up this time. I may have been able to suck it in and button them, but I could also have ruined them by doing so.
I'll try again at 240.0 -
So, on Thursday my friends and I bought Dance Central for Xbox Kinect. I have been wanting this game for a while and the first day we got it we played for like 5 hours! Well, needless to say the next day felt the after burn. My thighs, shoulders, arms and feet were killing me, but my knees felt like they'd been beaten with a metal rod (ok, maybe not that bad, but I definitely woke up with a limp in my step). And in my mind I was like "there is NO WAY I can work out today. I've burned my calories already, I don't have to go to water aerobics" and then I just kept think about why I'm on this journey, and that growth occurs outside of the comfort zone. I wasn't really in pain, I was uncomfortable. Going to the gym would be even more uncomfortable, and that's exactly what I needed to do. SO i got up and went to water aerobics class, and did my water jogging! I was so proud of myself, and super relieved because since yesterday way Friday, that means no more intense workouts until Monday.... Or so I thought.
A friend of mine came over last night to say hey and chill at our apartment for a while, and my roomies started raving to her about the awesomeness that is Dance Central. Well, she absolutely HAD to play. Now ordinarily I would have said "You kids have fun, I'm going to my room" but something about Dance Central brings out the competitor in me, so I stayed and showed them how it's done. 2 workouts in one day, following a very brutal dance session the day before! That's crazy! I feel totally exhausted now, but I know that if I wanted to I could jump up and keep dancing, because I proved to myself that I can keep pushing even when I'm tried.
That's my NSV.
Now to find my ibuprophen.0 -
I've added "dancing" to my exercises, I could barely walk a block or two w/o having to rest my knees! Now I can dance for a good 25-30 minutes with weights!!
I have one pair of pants that sort of fit.....0 -
Two for me this week:
1. My coworker told me that when I walk past her office it gives her the motivation to get up early in the morning and work out. We have been walking at lunch most days and she apparently is inspired by me!!!! Made me feel WONDERFUL.
2. Went to the store to "window shop". I haven't bought clothes in a long time and am not really sure what size I am. I guessed and EVERYTHING I tried on fit. Another week or so and I may be down another size.0
