Showering at the gym??

I just signed up for a gym membership at Planet Fitness...for $10/month I figured...why not?
They offer "Design-your-own workout" classes with a personal trainer (for free!) so I signed up for one on Monday morning...
Problem is I'll be cutting it close to go home and get ready for work (class lasts till 7)...so I could get ready at the gym (they have showers) but I feel a little weird getting completely ready at the gym. Does anyone else do this? Would anyone look at me funny if I bring my blow dryer and all my makeup!
Also, for those that are Planet Fitness members...have any of you tried the design your own workout class? Did you like? What should I expect?

I've showered at the gym a few times. I mostly did it when I first started going to the gym.
I go to planet fitness and I've gotta say they keep their facilities clean (atleast here in Roanoke).
I've shaved and everything at the gym so I don't think it would be out of the ordinary for you to get ready. We have hair dryers in our locker room, and I see guys doing their hair and stuff often.0 -
I see people getting ready for a day at the office after a 6.30am spinning class and it's just what they have to do! The gym I use has hair driers that you pop a coin into for 5 minutes use and they're well used.0

The gym I used to go to was right across the street from work so I used to bring EVERYTHING and just walk over to work. People usually get ready at gyms at least the ones I've been at. You shouldnt worry about that, I would just make sure you wear slippers in there and I've always kept an extra pair of clothes at work just in case since I'm not getting ready at home.0

The extra pair of clothes in case you forget to bring them to gym? Haha...that's brilliant because that's something I would TOTALLY do at 5:30 am!0 -
When I went to the gym if I had to do something afterwards I would shower ( I wore flip flops) and put makeup on dry my hair the whole 9 yards, its not weird. Just get use to seeing ppl walk around naked..lol atleast they did at our gym :noway: But if you have to do something afterwards, its perfectly fine !!0

Over the years I've been a member at 3 different gyms and everyone of them had ladies showering, doing their hair, changing into work clothes they brought with them, putting on makeup... the whole nine yards. Personally, I hate gym locker rooms, using strange multi-use showers and being exposed around strangers.0
