I am working at the Canadian election polls Monday which will end up being 14 hours long . I have no idea what to take to eat, I need lunch, snacks and supper ideas that can be eaten while working in between people (no breaks) at my table. Any ideas?

I take a cooler bag with snacks/lunch every other Sunday when my boyfriend and I go to play board games all day at the game store (apparently we're geeks). Some of my faves are caramel rice cakes sandwiched with a tablespoon of peanut butter in the middle, veggies (carrots, celery, bell peppers, cucumbers) and/or Trader Joe's savory mini rice crackers with hummus, apples, bananas, pears, granola bars or Slim fast or other brand meal or snack bars. We also like tortilla roll ups filled with Laughing Cow cheese (or cream cheese, hummus, light mayo/mustard, whatever), turkey, and spinach. Baked chips, pretzels, nuts/dried fruit are all nice for a crunchy element.

If you have some kind of insulated lunch bag or can get one, it's nice to be able to take things like cheese sticks or squeez-y yogurts (I found one that has less sugar than the typical ones aimed at kids). Just throw in some ice packs or some water bottles filled with either water or juice that you freeze the night before. Keeps your food cold and then you'll have something to drink too as it defrosts.

Thanks, I really appreciate the ideas. I hate packed lunch but I think I know what to take from the suggestions here.
