Sooo... Once I started eating healty (lean protein, lots of veggies & fruit, whole grain rice and sweet potato - cutting out cheese and bread for the most part) I lost 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks. Now, I'm not losing anything even though I am eating just asa healthy. I am trying to be more active and get to the gym more - but any other hints to move the scale again?

I didnt lose a lb until week 3 so you are lucky to lose 10 lbs so quickly. The rest of the weight will come off..it just takes time

Are you watching sodium? Have you worked out more? Both will cause water retention.

Also our bodies are somewhat resistant to change and it may take it a bit to adjust.
  • Being you have only 20 more pounds to lose you need to make sure you are eating enough. If you set your MFP to lose 2 lb/wk then DO NOT go below your goal for calories and make sure to eat your exercise calories...if you have it set to lose 1 lb/wk then do not let your remaining calories go over 500. Check out these links to read more about it.

I lost 10 pounds in 10 days, but then got cocky haha and thought i could "cheat' imean just a piece of pizza here a hand full of cereal there hehe. Sometimes its water weight. Are you eating enough calories. I know sometimes that stalls people when they are eating way less then they need.

I lost 8lb in 2 weeks and then stuck for 2. Unfortunately I then had a holiday and put 2 back on which I lost the following week. I'm hoping it will start to move again now.

Your body may just be adjusting to the sudden change in eating habits. This is what I think mine did. It isn't a plateau, just an instinctive reaction from your body saying 'whoa, what's going on here, I need to hang on to my fat reserves'. Keep doing what you are doing and it should start to move again, don't get disheartened.

Good luck, I'm sure you will see results again soon.:flowerforyou:

Same thing happened to me. I lost 8lbs in the fist 2 weeks than hit a wall for a month.

Mix up your cardio -- I can't tell you what a difference it has made for me.

I do a different cardio work out every time I hit the gym. Everything from a long run, short sprints, hi-resistance elliptical, to rowing. I never do more than 30 minutes and I have had awesome results -- I am not only losing weight, but my bodying is toning fabulously.

Just today I had a guy stop on the street and tell me how great my legs were :)

We all get to a point where our body starts to fight us losing any more weight. Your body thinks it should weigh a certain amount and it has to be reprogrammed. It could take 2-3 weeks for it to realize that it won't starve and then you will start losing weight again. Hang in there. This the hardest part.
