awwwww . . . we are ALL disappointed eventually; children are disappointed in the parents they got, and parents are surprised at the children they got. it all works out in the end.

More importantly, that is terrible grammar. I'm disgusted.

    Years of experience! LOL

I was at my mom's for Easter. Mom had tried and tried to get a hold of my Son and daughter-in-law. I tried as well. They never return a call or answer their phone. Then about an hour before Easter my son calls wanting to know about Easter dinner. Well Mom only made enough for the people there and politely refused. She was guilt ridden the whole day.

I invited the rascals for dinner one night after finally getting a hold of them. They set the time and date. I fixed dinner, set the table, and waited and waited. Finally after an hour and a half after the scheduled time I called it a night. Hugely disappointed. I called and called. Mom called as well. No answer.

Then my son calls and says he forgot! Uh!

Bump! My son just called off his wedding and I have been crying all day. I love the girl.
Oh did I say he is 31 and this would have been his 2nd marriage.
So I definitely know where that came from!

Tell me how, you see your child for the first time and not cry

Tell me how, you watch them cry and not pick them up

Tell me how, when they take their first step, not to smile

Tell me how, if they fall and scrape their knee, not to run and kiss it to make it better

Tell me how, you let them go outside by themselves and not follow them

Tell me how, to punish them when they’re bad without feeling worse then them

Tell me how, you don’t cry at their first and last day of school

Tell me how, to see their flaws with an open mind

Tell me how, to let them make mistakes without interfering

Tell me how, to stop your child from falling off a cliff, when you have no voice and no hands

Tell me how, to stop the physical pain you feel when they are sick or hurting themselves or others

Tell me how, you watch them grow and not wish they were small again

Tell me how, to stop caring

Tell me how, to stop loving

Tell me how, to stop the pain

Tell me how, to stop being a Mom

    Yep we're always parents.

One of the saddest days of my life was when I overheard the kids talking. They had been playing with the barbie dolls. Then my youngest daughter said, It's time to put them up. They put them up in a box very neatly and never played with them again.
