Apple Dumplin's
OMG...I have been cravin' these....... I have a small apple orchard and the apples are surprisingly plentiful this year.
Even though these are NOT diet friendly I had to share this recipe.
Apple Dumpling Recipe
This is the old-fashioned apple dumplings my grandmother used to make. Mmmmmssss It’s warm and flaky, like your own personal apple pie. The apple dumpling recipe originated with the Pennsylvania Amish.
Although making apple dumplings isn’t difficult, it does take some time and preparation. Peeling and coring the apples can be especially tedious. To save some time, use refrigerated pie crust. ( i prefer homemade) Eat this simple but scrumptious dessert when it is fresh from the oven. Once you taste it, you’ll know your time was well spent.
Apple Dumplings
Ingredients :
1 pastry for 2-crust pie

1 cup granulated white sugar
2 cups water
3 Tbsp. butter (softened)
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 cup granulated white sugar
