An over forty first NSV

Society states that once you reach the age of forty it's very hard to lose weight. Well, for me that's seems to be right. I've been on this site since February and I've lost eight pounds (to me this is AWESOME!) but yesterday I had my first NSV. I went shopping yesterday to buy an outfit for a Jazz concert for next week and I found and purchased a dress with the size I wore 2 years ago. That was my goal when I started this quest. To fit in the size I wore before I gained 20 pounds. All the exercising is WORKING, YEAH!! I left the store with a big smile
Now, if I could find a date to go with me that would be another NSV!

it is true that ur metabolism slows down but i think its just that most ppl get inactive, just like how these kids today sits in front of the t.v and play video game instead of being outside playing; even though they have different times from us bc we live in serious times and we are scared to let our kids go outside. Anyway, congrats sis & keep up the gr8 work, hang in there and you will find the date soon. Maybe he's waiting at the jazz concert LOL:flowerforyou:0

It is documented in studies that your metabolism does slow down as you get older...and I've noticed this in myself as well. It used to be I could just increase my exercise and lose any unwanted pounds fairly easy. Then about four years ago I had to add portion control and exercise. This time around, I have to get really serious to lose weight...counting calories, changing the way I eat (although it has always been pretty healthy).
Anyway, to the OP...congrats! Good work.0 -
