My cat was getting pretty chubby. I think I might have been feeding her kitten food too long. She was a rescue cat,so we weren't sure of her actual age. Anyways about 2 weeks ago I switched her to adult food which is less calorie dense then the kitten food (yes I checked the nutritional label/caloric content of my cats food) ,and she is slimming down already.
Of course it could just be water weight :P

    LOL!!!

    We have our miniature dachshund on a diet as well....her weight gain was hormonal brought on by a hysterectomy!!!! :wink:

    LOL! My cat is on a diet too! He's 27 lbs. I' have a pic of him with my little shih tsu in my profile here but I have another pic of the cat somewhere that I want to post.

    wow,that is one big kitty!
    I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the biggest recorded cat was 22 lbs but I could be wrong.
