Tomato sauce and sodium

I was making chili this afternoon. I entered the ingredients into the recipe database. I was shocked how much sodium is in a can of Safeway brand tomato sauce, 1820mg. I used two cans to make pot for six people. Next time I will look for a lower sodium alternative.

Hunts makes a "no salt added" tomato sauce. It's usually on the bottom shelf.

I can only find it in the little can at Walmart so I just buy a few little ones.

Safeway has a "No salt added" version that is a LOT lower. The first time I entered my Spaghetti sauce into the database I was flabbergasted by the sodium... but I'd already made it (a crockpot full). We've almost used the last frozen bit of it and I've stocked up on the no salt added diced tomatoes and sauce in preparation for a new batch.

Yep!! This is the one I use. Heinz also makes one that is similiar.
