I'm new and determined!

Hey there! My name is Katie and I'm new to this site. I've been browsing it all day and already I'm in love.
I looked in the mirror yesterday and realized how unhappy I am with my body. In 2010 I lost 40 pounds, but my determination faded in 2011 and I gained 7 back. I don't like the way I feel when I'm heavy and I am determined to lose the last 25 pounds until I'm at my goal weight!
I'd love to hear your tips and get to know you all so we can be fitness buddies.
I am currently trying to work out at least 20 minutes 7 days a week, even if it's just mild stretching or walking every other day between harder aerobic and cardio workouts. And I'm doing well on my eating plan. 1200 calories a day. I'm also working hard to take smaller bites and eat slower so that I feel full and stop eating when I'm not hungry. And of course, lots of water! My water bottle is my best friend!
So what are you doing to lose weight! I want to hear!

Welcome! This is a pretty cool site...I am totally addicted! It has kept me focused and on track! The people on here are very motivating and helpful. I think you will love it here.
I have found that kick boxing is what works for me! It's a total body workout and it's fun! I have lost 7 pounds in the couple of weeks that I have been on it.

welcome to My Fitness Pal.. and success to you on the last 25 pds you want to lose.
I'm eating at least 1500 cal a day (by my doctor's orders) / eating more frequent but healthy meals. i do slide very now and again but mostly eating bfast every day. working out at least 6 days a week, lots of cardio, kickboxing, walking (at least 30-45 mins a day); drinking lots of water. i have all kinds of videos looking online at my netflix. i'm also in leslie sansone's walking club, and in a running club in nyc. i go a few times ... besides that just trying to stay away from sweets, some fast foods, and chips. i use sparkpeople.com, this site, weight watchers, and generally try to make very good choices. when i dont' i hit the gym to make up -- or go for a walk (my best standby now that it's warm).
