    It's okay, I learned a lot about how not to be a parent from him. :laugh: When I have kids, I'm going to teach them about nutrition and portions, and that you can't just throw pills at your problems!

    I feel ya! My dad put me on appetite supressants and my stepmom made me take slimfast to school for lunch when I was 13!!!

    He's one that I can't wait to see when I lose the weight, to show him he was wrong! He always told me I was gonna eat and eat until I was as big as a house like my Aunt Kate on my mom's side of the family. Such a pleasant guy he was....:grumble: :laugh:


    Oh wow! Mine just always told me that I would be 200lbs if I kept eating the way I did. My grandma would also tell me no guys would ever like me cause guys dont like the "big" girls. She would also give sweets and things to everyone else but me and tell me in front of everyone else that I "didnt" need them. :noway:

    hahaha Its alright thanks! I like it. Kinda helps vent!! They didnt mean to do me any harm. I went and talked to my grandma about it and how it made me feel. She was very sorry. She thought she was helping (im very close to my grandma so I know she meant well). The scars are still there, it does hurt at times.. but then I think "its alright, I am not going to be this size anymore!!" Plus all of my family is being very supportive of me. :smile:

    Ditto! These things help drive me. We all need to vent and recognize that though it may have been wrong for people to do these things, they often don't mean it to be that way. We've grown stronger and become better because of it! :happy:
