Hi, I'm Jim and I'm a 43 yo male. Current stats: 5'9" 200 lbs, recent caliper testing shows 11% bodyfat. At the moment I do minimal cardio and do primarily various modes of resistance training, as my goal is body shaping/muscle building.

Specifically, my goals are to 1) increase my bodweight to 205-210 lbs while 2) reducing bodyfat to 7-8%. I am told these are competing goals and difficult to achieve simultaneously but I am undeterred.

I was tracking my food with a spreadsheet and my fiancee' showed me this site--it is really amazing and it is an incredible tool to help all of us achieve our goals, whatever those are for each of us.

Descartes said "nature can be conquered through measurement." In our sense, we are working to conquer ourselves, and measurement will indeed provide the basis for doing so.

I have a good science background and continue to stay abreast of the most recent peer reviewed, authoritative findings in nutrition and exercise and LOVE interacting with others to share; some of the best references I have received have been from others.

Looking forward to working together and achieving our goals,

Jim
